Galactic Museum

The netizens hype over the newly opened and upgraded National Planetarium was real and has some definite reason. The museum was closed last November 2018 to undergo some repair and upgrade. Now the galactic displays are back and open for public once again.

The National Museum made the announcement on its Facebook page, saying the planetarium is now open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday. According to them, “Please join us on our journey to the wonders of our Ethno astronomy, learning how planets and stars have guided us in sea navigation, agriculture, fishing and the right timing of celebrating life.”

What to Expect from the National Museum

As always the National Planetarium offers a galactic experience for all the people who wants to visit. The displays, exhibits and paintings are very instagrammable because of its cosmic look. Smart televisions are all over the for the visitors to better understand what that the display is all about. The National Planetarium is spacious enough for people to enjoy taking pictures without having a photo bomber.

Fee

Entrance fee are free but they charge for planetarium shows.
Student: P30
Senior Citizen/ PWD: P40
Adult: P50

📍Ermita, Manila (near National Musuem and Luneta Park) 
🕒 Tuesday- Sunday (8:30am- 4:30pm)

Notes:

  • Cameras and digicams are not allowed inside the dome premises while the show is ongoing.
  • Best time to visit is weekdays morning as there are few visitors at that time.
